When it comes to thinking of romantic date ideas, many find it very hard to come with just a few ideas. Romantic picnics are a great way to show your significant other how you feel and can be very romantic if you have a few tips for passion tucked in your belt.
Blanket for Laying and Cuddling
When you want to enjoy a romantic picnic, you should choose a location that is secluded…or at least an area where there won’t be a ton of people. Be sure to pack a blanket for you guys to lie on because the grass or sand can be hard, hot, and just uncomfortable. A blanket truly helps add to the mood. And if you’ll be out underneath the stars for your romantic picnic, which is a great romantic date idea, be sure to bring a blanket that you guys can cuddle under…it may get a bit cold with that night weather.
Don’t Forget Snacks and Drinks
You’ve got your blankets, but now you need some drinks and snacks to enjoy while on your excursion. Bring along some simple finger foods as well as some romantic foods such as chocolate covered strawberries or something else to your liking. Bring along some wine or another beverage of your choice if you don’t like wine. When you begin eating, feed each other rather than yourself. It can be really romantic if you do it with true passion.
Sparks Fly with Music
Don’t forget to bring along a CD player or an iPod with your favorite music in hand as well. You can share the earphones on the iPod or you can bring a docking station so it will play on its own. Oh and be sure to remember to charge your iPod before you leave the house – you wouldn’t want it going dead on you during the middle of a romantic song. For the CD player, be sure you have batteries because it will be unlikely that you’ll have an electrical outlet anywhere near your picnic area. Oh and hey, what’s music without a dance, too? On the other hand, a romantic serenade would be nice, too!
Gazing at the Stars/Clouds
Star gazing can be romantic no matter where you do it. Bring lanterns with you to have around your picnic location – or if you’d rather it be darker, just make sure you have some flashlights in case you need some light. Alternatively, to spruce things up just a little, bring along some candles to light and place them all around the blanket that you’ve brought with you.
On the other hand, if you are enjoying a day picnic, lie down on your blanket and gaze at the clouds. Remember when you were little and tried to make out shapes of the clouds – an animal, a house, etc.? Do it with your significant other; make a game out of it – it can be a lot of fun!
In Love and Ready for the Next Step?
If you are head over heels, completely in love with your partner, why not make it a true day/night to remember? Propose! A romantic picnic and a proposal all in one would be remarkable and is something that she won’t ever forget for all the years to come. Now, if you aren’t ready for this step then don’t take it…there are other options, though, such as a promise ring or something similar. It’s a perfect time to tell your partner how you feel and give them a gift.
I hope that the above tips will give you an insight on how to enjoy your next romantic picnic. I know they’ve always been great for my personal experiences.
